Mustio (Svartå in Swedish) is an old ironworks village of some 1,300 inhabitants located in South-West Finland, near Lohja. Mustio is best known for the Mustio Manor, completed in 1792 and now functioning as a museum, hotel and restaurant. (For more information, see their website at www.mustionlinna.fi). The adjacent church from 1761 is also well worth seeing. Additional sights include the Pitsitalo home gallery (tel. +358 40 518 1113) and Junkarsborg castle ruins.
Mustio mostly belongs to the town of Raseborg (Raasepori). The centre of Mustio is located north of the crossing of Hanko-Hyvinkää road (25) and Inkoo-Salo road (186). Mustio Manor lies a couple of kilometres northwest, some 800 m from Inkoo-Salo road, at Hållsnäsintie 89.
There are regular coach services between Mustio and Karjaa and Mustio and Helsinki (via Lohja). The nearest railway station is in Karjaa (15km), and the nearest airport is Helsinki-Vantaa.
